"When I started BeBizzy Consulting, I wasn't coming from the typical tech consultant background. I've worked on both sides of the equation: deep in the technical weeds managing IT systems and infrastructure, and in the boardroom running operations and making strategic business decisions.
I've been a COO. I've managed teams. I've had to make decisions where a technology investment either paid off or it didn't. This dual background is everything. Marv's career trajectory isn't typical, and that's intentional. Here's a quick snapshot:
I started in the technical trenches, supporting ISP infrastructure and quickly moving into technical leadership roles. From there, I shifted into operational and strategic positions—including serving as COO of a successful e-commerce business in Bismarck from 2000-2005, where I had to balance technical decisions against real business outcomes and bottom-line impact.
I've managed website development divisions for marketing agencies, including projects for the State of North Dakota and regional businesses. I've tested and influenced products for Verizon Wireless, worked with major brands like Yamaha and Ford, and stayed current with industry trends by attending WordCamp conferences and SEO events across the country.
Beyond BeBizzy, I have owned and operated BeLoud Entertainment, a mobile DJ company, since 2007—which means I genuinely understand what it takes to build and run a small business operation.
The point? I'm not just a tech consultant. I'm someone who's had to make tough calls about technology investments, manage teams, handle operations, and keep an eye on the bottom line. I bring that perspective to every conversation.
